La iniciativa benéfica de Krochet Krystal ( Krochet Krystal Charity Project)

Tengo pendiente empezar una manta para una lentejita que está en camino Jajajajajaja.. sí, lentejita! La verdad es que ya tiene cerca de 6 meses de vida en la barriguita de su mamá, pero como todavía no tienen claro cómo se va a llamar, yo la llamo... Srta.Lenteja.

Pues, buscando por estos mundos 2.0 ideas para esa mantita, topé con el proyecto de Krochet Krystal.

I have to start a blanket for a little lentile that is comming soon Haaahahahaha .. yes, little lentil! The truth is that she has about 6 months of living in her mom's tummy, but her family has no clear what name would put her , I call this baby  ... Mss. Little Lentile for a while.

Krystal es una mujer de Buffalo (NY) que inventó esta bonita margarita tridimensional de ganchillo. Su proyecto consiste en poner a disposición de quien se lo pida y de forma gratuita, el patrón de la flor... a cambio de que no se utilice para ganar dinero con él y de que le devuelvas por correo (si quieres) un granny crocheteado.

 

Krystal is a woman from Buffalo (NY) who invented this crochet dimensional beautiful daisy. She makes available to anyone who requests her, free of charge, the pattern of the flower ... in exchange for not using to make money with it and that you return her by mail (if you want) a crocheted granny with this pattern.

 

 Si visitas su web, comprobarás que ha recibido grannies de todas las partes del mundo. Ella une esos grannies para formar mantas que dona a hospitales pediátricos de su zona. También ha llevado mantas al Roswell Park Cancer Institute, que son utilizadas por quienes reciben quimioterapia para abirgarse mientras pasa la medicación.

 

 If you visit her website (above), you could check she has received grannies all parts of the world. She combines these grannies to form blankets which are donated to children's hospitals in her area. She has also donated blankets to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, that are used by people who received chemotherapy medication, keeping warm while medicines are passing.

 

 

Cuando leí sobre ese proyecto, no pude más que decidirme a contactar con ella y solicitar ese patrón. Creo que la margarita será una flor perfecta para una manta. Es la flor preferida de la mamá de Lentejita, y ya tengo en mente cómo la haré. Pero además, tenía que participar!!!

 

When I read about the project, I felt the need to contact her and ask for the pattern. I think the Daisy Pattern is perfect for a Little Lentil blanket. Is the favorite flower of Little Lentil's mother. But also, I needed to participate.

 

 

 Enseguida me envió a mi email un tutorial en pdf y en vídeo sobre cómo hacer el granny. En los vídeos ella misma te explica de forma clara el paso a paso, aunque su idioma es el inglés americano, si no lo entiendes puedes seguir de forma sencilla sus manos.
Hasta el momento de redactar esta entrada, creo que soy la única persona que le ha enviado un granny desde España. Así que mi primer intento lleva los colores Grana de mi región, y Amarillo y Rojo de mi país.
Immediately, she sent me by email a pdf  and video tutorial with the "how to make" the granny. In the video she clearly explains you step by step.
Until the time of writing this post, I think I'm the only person who has sent her a granny from Spain. So my first granny carries the dark red color of my region , and yellow and red of my country.

 Puedes utilizar todos los restos de lana que tengas para hacer tu granny, pero el fondo debe ser blanco o negro. Como no tenía ni uno, ni otro, compré una madeja blanca. Al terminar el granny, me dió pena dejar casi toda la madeja sin usar, pudiendo utilizar el correo para enviar más margaritas. No me lo pensé... y tejí dos flores más:

You can use all the little skeins of yarn you have to do your granny, but the background must be white or black. As I had no one,  I bought a white skein. Upon completion of the granny, I was sorry to leave nearly all unused skein.... and also could use the same mail to send more daisy grannies. I did not think ... and I crocheted two more flowers:
